Privacy Policy
Jusqlik holds records about children, families and school staff. This policy explains what we collect, why, who can see it, and the choices schools and parents have.
1. Who this policy covers
This policy applies to the Jusqlik website, the web application used by schools, the staff app and the parent app (together, the "Service"). It covers four groups of people: school administrators and staff, parents and guardians, students, and visitors to our website.
2. The school is in charge of its data
When a school uses Jusqlik, the school decides what student, parent and staff information is entered and how it is used. We process that information on the school's behalf and on its instructions. Questions from parents about a student's record should go to the school first, and we will help the school answer them.
3. Information we process
School records entered by the school
- Student details such as name, class, section, admission number, date of birth, photo and attendance.
- Academic records such as marks, grades, report cards and remarks.
- Parent and guardian details such as names, mobile numbers, email addresses and preferred language.
- Fee records such as fee plans, concessions, dues, payments and receipts.
- Transport details such as routes, stops and boarding records.
- Staff details such as names, roles, subjects, timetables and staff attendance.
Information created while the Service is used
- Messages between parents and class teachers, circulars and homework posts.
- Bus location during an active trip, shared only from the driver's or attendant's device.
- Login records, device type and app version, used to keep accounts secure and fix problems.
Information from our website
- What you enter in the signup and contact forms, such as your name, email, school name, city, board and student count.
- Basic technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, kept for security.
4. How we use it
- To provide the Service the school has signed up for: attendance, fees, exams, timetables, transport, the parent app and Teacher AI.
- To send the messages the school has turned on, such as absence alerts, fee reminders and circulars.
- To keep the Service secure, prevent misuse and fix errors.
- To reply to your enquiry or set up your account when you contact us or sign up.
5. What we never do
- We never sell student, parent or staff data.
- We never use school data for advertising, and there are no ads in the parent app.
- We never build marketing profiles of students or parents.
- We never make automated decisions about students. Teacher AI produces drafts that teachers review, and student records are not used to generate those drafts.
6. Who can see what
Access inside the Service is role-based. Teachers see the classes they teach, office staff see the records their role needs, and parents see only their own children. The school controls these roles and can change them at any time.
We share data with service providers only to run the Service, such as hosting, SMS and email delivery, and licensed payment partners for online fee payments. Each provider is bound to use the data only for that purpose. We disclose data to authorities only when the law requires it, and we tell the school unless the law forbids it.
7. Consent for parent communication
Schools record a parent's consent for app and SMS communication, and the Service keeps a record of the date and channel. Parents can change their language and notification choices in the parent app, or ask the school to stop non-essential messages.
8. Security
- Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
- Access by our own staff is limited to support and maintenance, logged, and granted only when needed.
- Staff and parent logins use passwords or one-time codes, and sessions expire after inactivity.
9. How long we keep data
We keep school data for as long as the school uses the Service. When a school leaves, it can export its data, and we delete it from active systems within 90 days, and from backups when those backups expire, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
10. Children's data
Students do not sign up for Jusqlik themselves. Their records are created and managed by their school, and parents access them through the parent app. We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through our website.
11. Your choices
Parents and staff can ask their school to access, correct or delete their information. Website visitors who sent us a form can ask us to delete it by writing to us through the contact page.
12. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will tell schools in the application before it takes effect.
